Due to recent developments in Jefferson County’s position regarding the vacation of County Road No. 577, specifically staff’s recommendation to the Board of Commissioners received yesterday along with additional findings and the advice of legal counsel, the Board of Directors has instructed counsel to withdraw the Petition to Vacate Certain Portions of County Road No. 577 at this time.
The Board of Directors has instructed the Boundaries and Land Use Committee to reach out to abutting landowners regarding this matter and expressly reserves the right to refile such petition in the future if necessary.
The Board wishes to thank those property owners that have reached out to the county to express their support of the Petition and the numerous property owners that had planned on attending this very important meeting. Additional details will be provided when available.
The Notice of Cancellation of next Wednesday’s (November 4th) hearing will be posted when received.
