Lake Chinook Fire & Rescue recently posted on their website the following update:
Yucca Fire Currently Holding at 25 Acres – The Yucca Fire was reported at 2:35pm on Friday afternoon. Lake Chinook Fire responded with 3 engines and a tender. The fire was located east of pixie lane just east of the 3 Rivers subdivision. The Forest Service responded with 3 Fire Boss Single engine air tankers a type 1 helicopter and an engine. Mutual aid was provided by an ODF engine. The fire was controlled by 930pm. Crews will begin mop up and containment tomorrow at 0600.
