The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners (BOC) has requested that L.C.F.&R Board of Directors appear before the Commission on Wednesday, July 6th, 2022, at 10:15 a.m. to address the June 9th, 2022, Secretary of States letter. According to state records, the special district has failed to file required financial statements for at least three consecutive years, a violation of ORS municipal audit law. If the district fails to comply, the County will be obligated under ORS 198.345(2) to “initiate proceeding to dissolve the special district”. The Association encourages its members to attend this very important meeting in person at the Commission Meeting Room (66 S.E.”D” Street, Madras OR) or join via ZOOM with the link below.
