Fire Restrictions Increase. No Campfires – No Off-Road
Due to drying fuels and increasing potential for fire starts, beginning this Friday, at 12:01 a.m. the Deschutes National Forest, Crooked River National Grassland, BLM and Lake Chinook Fire Protection District are increasing fire restrictions. Open fires are prohibited. This includes campfires, charcoal briquette, cooking fires and warming fires, burn barrels and any other type of open flame not able to be shut off by a valve is prohibited. Use Of motorized vehicles, including motorcycles and ATV’s is prohibited, except on improved roads. Use of chainsaws and mowing of dried grass with power driven equipment is prohibited, after 1:00 p.m. For current fire restrictions please call 541-410-5077
