Let’s see if we can get this conversation started. Jefferson County regulates development and construction through its land use rules and building codes. Do you want the TRLOA through the Architectural Committee adding another layer of regulation for things not covered by Jefferson County regulations? If so, for what? Building paint color? View protection? Limits on the number of buildings that can be built on a lot? Your thoughts??
No on all.
The fewer infringements the better!
If there is a compelling reason to create a rule, fine, but not just for the sake of creating a rule. I believe we have plenty for now.
No thanks….not needed.
Although many folks in dissent just made one-line responses, I think the board should take into account the desires of the dissenters.
There’s alot to said for ‘less is more’. Many of the things being considered at this time are ‘hairsplitters’ that don’t warrant being regulated formally.
Perhaps some middle ground – like some general guidelines for homeowners to take into account when planning future projects would be more appropriate.
We all want a well-thought-out approach to our development, but I think many of us would prefer to rely on our neighbors to do the right thing, rather than be further constrained with further regulation.

I have been an owner for 21 years and have seen many things change, mostly for the good. We built a house in 2009 and had no problems at all with AC or Jeff county. Builder drew the drawings and everything was OK. I guess that must have changed. Keep up yor good work AC, because there sure needs to be some controls.
