Big Canyon Cleanup!
February 19 – February 20
We’re getting the crew back together again to pick up where we left off last year. The focus will be moving the existing piles of debris, downed trees, and trees that still need to be cut to the burn area down by the golf course parking lot. We will pile it up for now and burn it when conditions allow.

There are hundreds of trees already down that need to be skidded out with ATV’s, Jeeps or whatever. Bring your tow cables/ tow straps. Also, there’s still a lot of burnt trees and junipers that are surrounding pines that need to be dropped so bring your chainsaws as well. That work doesn’t need to wait and can be done any time between now and then if you’re bored and need something to do.

Skidteers with grapples, excavators with thumbs, dump trucks and large dump trailers will be needed.

We’ll probably be starting around 9 each day and might even try to get some work done on Friday. Please keep track of your work hours so we can get credit for them.
